Jared Sloger is a freelance graphic designer and traditional artist from Omaha, Nebraska who specializes in sci-fi, fantasy, wildlife, and anthropomorphic art. His work includes story boarding, illustration, and conceptual design. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Art Management from Bellevue University, and a Graphic Design degree from Metropolitan Community College.
In 2009 his work was first published in fantasy novels by authors Bryan Davis, and Eric Reinhold. He also illustrated a book cover which was published through Scott Appleton.
In 2011 he worked for Gold Pictures in Los Angeles, at Universal Studios doing design work for the documentary CinemAbility, and illustrated pictures for the children’s book, “Lucky”.
While it’s illegal to own tigers as pets, Jared has two cats, the illustrious Kimba the Hutt and Princess Mia. His artistic inspiration comes from wildlife, and biology. He works in various traditional media such as graphite, Prismacolor markers and colored pencil, acrylics, oil paints, charcoal, and digital media using Photoshop and an Intuos 4 Wacom tablet. In Omaha, Jared frequently displays his work at local conventions and art shows year round. He has also been published in the Omaha World Herald.
